Collaboration is the key to success, and at the MIB we welcome partners for research, and to develop ideas through to application, as we seek to address the global challenges we face today.

Since our inception, we have worked in close collaboration with cross-sector industrial partners to develop biotechnology for their business requirements and for the benefit of wider society

We have a flexible approach to working with industry, including:

• Discovery science: fundamental research de-risked through collaborative grant funded programmes or pre-competitive "industry-clubs".
• Applied research: later-stage R&D through contract research or co-funded projects.
• Knowledge transfer: staff secondments, professional training, technology licensing opportunities.
