Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst (IBIC)

IBIC Post-Project/Prize reporting

As a condition of all IBIC-funded grants and prizes you are required to report on project progress, outputs, outcomes and impact at the end of the funding period, as well as project expenditure.

Post-project reporting will be an ongoing requirement for all IBIC awarded projects and prizes as realization of impact can take time, including beyond the project end date, and you should expect periodic contact from the IBIC team with requests to follow up on further impact and developments beyond the project period. The reports required will be:

  1. submission of an online final report upon completion of your IBIC project or prize-related activity;
  2. submission of a financial claim template upon completion of your IBIC project or prize-related activity, to be sent via email;
  3. submission of a short update online 6 months and 12 months after the completion date.

Reporting forms

Below are the links to the reporting forms. Please refer to the IBIC Handbook Appendix 1 Outputs, Outcomes and Impacts and EPSRC’s guidance document on quantitative indicators of success when completing your form:

Notes on how to complete the financial claim form are provided within the spreadsheet template.  Completed financial claims should be sent via email to ibic@manchester.ac.uk

Please continue to report any significant project impacts and outcomes as and when they happen via the follow-on form. Where possible, please also provide evidence such as: patent numbers, official company incorporation details, publication details (including DOI), award reference numbers, event attendee data, event feedback, quotations from customers, users and partners, financial reports, copies of communications with external partners, etc.  These can be uploaded to the online reporting form or emailed to the IBIC team: ibic@manchester.ac.uk

In addition to the final project report, where applicable, we recommend that you also record project outcomes in your institutional impact repository (e.g., Pure) and record them in UKRI’s impact repository, Research Fish, as required.

Please note that failure to comply with IBIC post-project reporting requirements will result in non-payment of expenditure reimbursement and in the project PI becoming ineligible for further IBIC funding.

All information reported to IBIC will be treated as confidential, except for Section 1, noting that data collected will be shared with EPSRC, in line with our data sharing policy below, and may be used for marketing purposes subject to agreement.
